International Orders

Strings By Mail accepts international orders.  Please read the following information before you place your order.

How to Place an Order

  • Orders can be placed online, or by mail.

Shipping Charges

  • The cost of international shipping depends on three factors: the weight of the order, where it is being shipped to, and the type of shipping you choose.
  • The shipping charges are NOT added in the online order form.  After you place your order you will be contacted by email and given the cost of each of the shipping types (see Types of Shipping below).  You have the option to cancel the order at that time. Note: All options are not available for all countries.
  • If you want to order by mail or by email, contact us and tell us what you want and we will give you the costs.  We can not return international phone calls.
  • Customs duties or other taxes levied at the destination address are not included in the shipping charges and are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Payment Method

  • Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted for online or faxed orders.
  • Bank Money orders made out in US dollars are accepted for non credit card orders (see Paying By Bank Money Order below).
  • Paypal payment is accepted (see Paying by Paypal below).
  • Western Union payment is accepted (see Paying by Western Union below). .
  • Personal checks are NOT accepted for international orders.

Paying By Credit Card

  • After placing your order online, we will weigh your order and present you with several shipping options via email (please allow 1 -2 business days). After you have responded and have accepted a shipping option we will ship your order.
  • The name and address of where the order is being shipped to must match the name and address of the credit card owner.  If orders are to be shipped to a different address, then payment must be made by Bank Money Order or Western Union prior to shipping the order (see below).
  • Your bank will be contacted to verify that the name, address, and card number match.  This may take several days (international banks are slow to respond to address verification requests).
  • If your bank does not respond with a verification within 7 days after placing the order, you will be contacted and given the option to pay by bank money order.
  • IMPORTANT: Credit card orders will not be accepted for the following countries because the banks will not respond to address verification requests.  Orders can be placed by using bank money orders (see "Payment Methods" below):

Paying By Bank Money Order

  • Contact Strings By Mail to get shipping charges before sending and order.

  • Bank Money Orders must be made out to Strings By Mail and payable in US Dollars for the amount of the order plus shipping charges.

  • Orders will be shipped as soon as the money order is received.

 

Paying By Paypal

  • Contact Strings By Mail with your order details (include your shipping address and exact items desired).

  • We will send you a response email (please allow 1 - 2 business days) with shipping options for your order.

  • After receiving your shipping preference we will send you an email invoice via Paypal.

  • After receiving your Paypal payment, your order will be mailed within 1 business day.

Paying By Western Union

  • Contact Strings By Mail with your order details (include your shipping address and exact items desired).

  • We will send you a response email (please allow 1-2 business days) with shipping options for your order.
  • After receiving your shipping preference we will send you an email invoice with the order details.
  • We require the Western Union "Control Number" to receive payment.
  • After receiving your Western Union payment, your order will be mailed within 1 business day.

 

Types of shipping (from least to most expensive)

  • 1st Class airmail - Packages can be any weight.  Delivery time is an average of 10 to 14 days.  1st Class mail is uninsured and can not be tracked. 

  • Priority Mail - Packages are limited to 4 lbs (1.8 kilograms), delivery time is an average of 7 to 10 days.  Priority mail is uninsured and can not be tracked. 

  • Express Mail Service (EMS , not available in all countries) - Packages can be any weight.  Delivery time is 4 to 7 days.  EMS mail is insured and trackable.
