Guitar Supports

For a complete comparison chart, visit our Best Guitar Support Guide.

We also offer Guitar Support Parts like the Sagework spare magnet set and Guitar Support Accessories like the Kling-On suction cup protector.

Ensuring that you're comfortable while playing is critical to your performance. Soreness can shorten a playing session—or even your long-term ability to play the guitar.

That's where guitar supports can save the day (and maybe your lower back). They help you maintain a good playing position and posture, lowering stress on your body. Some also increase your guitar's stability and prevent slippage.

To find the amount of lift you need, sit and hold the guitar where it would be comfortable to play. Then, have someone measure from the middle of your left thigh (right-handed player) to the upper bout of the guitar. Use the chart below to find a match in lift inches.

Strings By Mail is proud to be the U.S. distributor for some of the best guitar supports available: the Gitano and EFEL. We also carry supports by A-Frame, SageWork (formerly Barnett), Dynarette, ErgoPlay, Murata, NeckUp, Oasis, and others. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and styles. One is sure to fit you and your needs.

Please note: It's recommended that guitar supports and other removable accessories that attach to the guitar only be used on fully cured finishes at least six months old, and that they be removed after each use.
