Great Idea!

I love TI Benson strings. However, on my Hofner New President with a carved spruce top, maple body and 25.5" scale the GB112 Flat set sounds clunky and mechanical on the low strings. With the round wound GB112 set that spruce top picks up all the string noise. This hybrid set is a great compromise of the two; softens out the bottom and reduces the string noise to a reasonable level. Only thing I would change is I prefer a .13 or .14 vs the .12 on the Hofner.

Q: I am looking for a flatwound set for my Loar LH 600 that has a Floating Benedetto Pickup . I play it Acoustically and Plugged in depending on the gig .

A: Hello Phil ,
This C3 set should work fine for your application although I could not find any info about the gauges the LH 600 uses from the factory; you might want to verify with the maker what is recommended.
Generally flatwounds will sound quite dull and lifeless acoustically but you might try these sets from Dogal-
