I'm very unimpressed by these strings. I put them on my best guitar, a custom made Kenny Hill, cedar/Brazilian, and I ended up taking them off after 3 weeks. I couldn't even play the guitar for 5 minutes without putting it back in the case out of frustration. The most glaring flaw was the g string which had terrible intonation. I would tune the string in the open position, then on the 12th fret harmonic, but the fretted 12th fret was 10-15cents sharp! I though maybe they just need to settle in, so I gave it three weeks - no change. Unplayable. In general, the trebles sounded lifeless and the basses were similarly lame. I'm all flummoxed and whatnot after seeing the glowing reviews here for these strings...I just don't see anything to indicate how they could be considered to be that great. And, considering the price - I've played sets which are under $10 which blow this set out of the water.

The best strings set I ever tried. Sofull of sound and rich of tones.
THe basses are powerfull and still very balanced eith the new trebles set with atre tremendous.

JUst buy the classical set.
I really not enjoyed this set, because of the trebles.
every mvement I made with my left hand was audible very loudly and the nail touch of my right hand was so annoying.

I don't reccomand this strings set.
If you want a warmer sund try Dogal strings.

Bought these from the recommendation of Gohar Vardanyan, and everything she says is absolutely true! Really enjoy playing these strings...

may find the basses slightly short lived comparably so ordering an extra set of basses is recommended. Over the years I've been impressed with LaBella and Luthier ... These really stand out.
You can also make up the Tomatito
Set with new cristal E&B Allianz G and Cantiga basses.
The normal tension is the best match for my 1986 Conde Hermanos Media Luna.

I like the wound 3rd string. I"m grateful it comes with an extra would 3rd string, for those young Suzuki guitar students that use the 3rd string a lot but not the other basses. It helps w/ the intonation. Price is right.

I like this set of beads. I have been using this set for years. They are great. They look like decorations on my guitar. The only thing I would like to tell the producer is that : sometimes, the holes are not wide enough for the 5th. or 6th. string. I need to use a sharp item to penetrate it in order to make the holes wider and to allow those strings to go through them.

I have had these on my Brian May signature for almost two years now. The gold doesn't tarnish and consequently they last longer and actually seem to be getting better with age, so why change them? 9-42's lasting two years, well that is simply exceptional. I love these strings, you will too.

I use the CBH -3T Carbon strings on a Cordoba Solista. For basses I use d'Addario Dynacores, normal tension SDN-3B. I settled on this combination after trying several types of strings (Rectified, standard nylon, Composites, Titaniums) and different tensions. For my guitar the CBHs and SDNs give me excellent balance between the trebles and basses with good sustain and projection. The trebles are bright and clear. The basses don't overwhelm the trebles. And as I move up the fretboard the sound remains full and dynamic. I have tried other HT strings but they were hard on my fingers. The CBH-3T are a little lighter, but still deliver a crisp carbon sound. (E1 in inches is .024 compared to .028 for d'Addario Composites HT) They feel lighter and are easier to play. They are much easier on my fingers. With this combination I feel I have found the strings that bring out the best sound from my guitar.

One of the best string for good guitars. it seems the better the guitar the better the pro-art trebles seem. I agree on some less than high end guitars they might not sound that great, but the are remarkable on a fine instrument, especially the trebles, I often go elsewhere for basses.

I just tried my first set on my Lowden Bensusan Old Lady - tuned D to D. I was immediately impressed by the overtones, sustain and character of each note. Full chords are a splendid symphony! They bring the best from a fine fingerstyle instrument.

I expected bright and rigid trebles and what I got was a set of strings with scratches out of the package that sounded fuzzy but warm... Not bright. One week later, a layer on the first string started peeling off like string cheese. These strings didn't last the week and wish a review like this came sooner. This brand obviously doesn't concern itself with quality checking their product. I'll choose my string brands more carefully.

excellent sound, lasts very long time, one of the best acoustic guitar strings on the market.
