D'Addario EJ31 Classic Rectified Nylon Hard Tension, Full Set
I tried these hoping to find a less expensive, American-made alternative to the venerable Savarez 520R. In my opinion, these are almost as good. The trebles in this set are bit harder and have more bite. So while these do have the distinctive rectified tone, they tend to "cry" whereas the Savarez seem to "sing". This may or may not be a bad thing, depending on the sound you are looking for. As for the basses - typical stiff core silver wound and perfectly acceptable, but who cares - we buy these for the rectified trebles.
