Description: Robert Boyd Desmond is a US luthier who works out of Orlando, Florida. He studied under Manuel Velazquez and Robert Ruck, whose influence can be seen and heard in this instrument. This guitar has one of the finest quality cedar tops we have seen in any instrument, and the workmanship and sound match the aesthetic beauty of the materials. The sound could be described a combination of Velazquez and Ruck, with power and elegance perfectly combined. It has plenty of high-partials to give it a very complex, grand-piano sound, and also has clarity and impressive volume for use on the concert stage. It is perfectly set up and is very comfortable to play. It features an oil varnish that is both beautiful and durable, leaving a stunning looking instrument that is sure to impress.
