Sitar Strings
(sorted by Newest first)

Starting in the late 1950s and early 1960s, the sitar became more well known to Western audiences primarily through touring by the Indian musician Ravi Shankar. Interest in the sitar really exploded, though, when bands like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Traffic, and Fleetwood Mac used it in recordings and live performances.

The sitar is a plucked instrument developed on the Indian subcontinent. Sitars typically have 7 fingered strings and 11 sympathetic strings.

We offer sitar strings from esteemed manufacturers like Dogal and La Bella. If we don't carry your favorite strings, you can get them fast with a Special Order. In most cases, we’ll add the strings to our regular stock to make your next order even easier.
