Strings Choice

Best bass-treble balance among all others on my guitar that are brilliant and clear. Normal tension strings work well without tensing my fingers. Can be used for weeks without the sound and sense of old ones.

The 20s match the guitar well. Luthier 30s are too tight. Savarez also work but have worn out quickly. I am curious to try the Solera Flamenca strings.

Luthier 20s are too loose, don't activate the wood enough.

I love how organic the strings are, the sound and the feel. For a long while I've been experimenting with thinner and slightly harsher strings, playing this set felt like coming home. This string really feels like a guitar string, a clarity that doesn't compromise the soft touch, subtlety or character that a good string should have.

These Knobloch strings achieve the right tension and tuning in a matter of hours and remain good! This is a real game changer.

Two Aria humbuckers. Thomastik 12-50 flats with a .013 D'Addario top e. Thomastik flats sounds great. Prefer them to D'Addario flats. Just wish they did a 13-50 set. Tried a .014 top e that was nicely dark, but a bit too high tension and dead sounding.

These electric guitar strings are a great way to preserve an old instrument. When I got it, the heel was just starting to separate. With half the tension of many acoustic sets, the EXL110 strings should postpone any repairs for a long time.

Makes my old guitar sound louder, and better sustain overall.

I play mostly clean, fast, and LOUD through a Twin Reverb or a Tweed Reverb, heavily modified Blues Junior. Urban gospel in 300+ seat venue. I need lots of punchy low end from the bass strings and nice sparkling Fender cleans from the treble strings. Been using GHS Nickel Rockers for several years. They're the right sound for a Strat and Tele.
