Description

Born in 1994 of the dreams of virtuoso Paul Galbraith and great luthier David Rubio, the “Brahms” is perhaps the newest instrument adapted to classical music. With its eight strings tuned in fourths, this mutant guitar has opened exciting musical territories to a new generation of players. But this progress wouldn’t have been possible without imposing a high degree of tension to the neck of the instrument. Therefore, the sound and the harmonic coherence of the Brahms guitar depend more than ever on the quality of the strings used.

To meet the expectations of the musicians seduced by this extraordinary invention, Philippe Bosset offers two types of strings (“Fair Nylon” and “Black Nylon”), which each receive the same extreme precision Silver (20 g) plated copper winding. They are also protected by a special anti-sulfur coating which triples the lifespan of the strings and efficiently prevents any premature “deadening” of the tone.

The result is a subtle and powerful sound, rich in delicate overtones, perfectly suited to concerts and studio sessions.
