These are hands down the BEST Medium gauge string you can find! The tone is always consistently brilliant, balanced and even right out of the package. After about 2 hours of playing they settle into a nice warm, but very good projecting set of strings. New Mediums stay in tune better than regular Mediums due to the slightly higher gauge of the mid register. This means less tuning that darn G string! Great for flatpicking but also great for fingerstyle open tunings too because of the slightly higher gauge adjustment. The best set for DADGAD I have ever used!
