These strings are great. They provide a less jangly, solid tone and they stay In tune from the outset. I have put on my guitar all of the following 12 strings sets and the Martin marquis are far and away the best sounding and the best for staying in tune: Cleartone (worst by far), John Pearse, GHS, LaBella, and D'AddarioEXP (a good close second place). I play a Gibson 185 12 and have come to appreciate Martin Marquis 80/20 for their ability to let the tone of the guitar shine though without the metallic jangling common to the other sets. They also are gauged optimally for standard tuning. The best aspect is they hold their tuning. And they also have the wire near the ball end wrapped with silk thread which cuts down on groove wear In the bridge pin slot as well as mitigates harsh overtones. You can't go wrong with these if you want a complex sounding 12 string rather than a metallic jangly guitar.
