Before this one, I have been using three other kinds of guitar support. This one, by far, is the best of all. Sucking cups are the problem for most of this kind of guitar support design. This one has a hard board can push the sucking cup attaching the guitar side board very tight and if making the "tail" longer can allow players using the right leg pushing the end part's sucking cup tightly attached to the side board as well. I love this thing! I'm using it on both acoustic(2 different body shapes) and classical guitars. I don't have a french polish classical so I can't address that but for my needs it has been great.
I'm using it for prolonged practice without foot rest- feet flat on floor. Can find the right angle for mid-high (acoustic) and very high (classical). My only regret is i didn't get it sooner. Lower back relief and more relaxed shoulders...
