I tried this silver wound, nylon core "G" string. The tone was a vast improvement over a regular nylon G string. I put this on two of my classical guitars and was very pleased with the tone. I would have given this a 5 star but on both guitars the string started to fray at the second fret after a couple of weeks. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is plagued with the dead sounding G string scenario. Shop
