By: Ian HodgesThese are fantastic strings for the hollow body jazz guitarist who wants a smooth, deep wooden tone. Intonation is excellent, quality control is great (have never had a bad string from this company). They are expensive, but flat wound strings don't need to be changed very often - once or twice a year, in my case. I use these on an Eastman jazz guitar, and they really help to get that thick woody Wes Montgomery/George Benson tone, really warm and as full as a guitar can sound. Don't plan on bending strings if you use this gauge - I have other guitars for that style. For straight ahead jazz, this is the best.
