Classical Minds Festival, a not for profit organization, was founded in 2005 with the goal of further educating the community about classical guitar and to help further their knowledge of the instrument.
West Texas Guitar Festival features two professional guitarists each year, plus hosts a "locals night" to highlight the existing guitar ensembles of the region. The festival concludes with a day-long series of masterclasses, rehearsals, workshops, recitals, and interviews with touring guitar artists and local guitar teachers. The final concert features a mass ensemble of all 150+ participants performing a guitar ensemble piece with the guest artists and teachers.
