  • Hercules Guitar Stand With Auto Grip System and Comfort Grip

Hercules Guitar Stand With Auto Grip System and Comfort Grip

    By: Darrell Cramer
I have several of these stands around the house so that when I walk around I always have a stand ready. I have a Benedetto Deluxe Archtop and a Sadowsky Jimmy Bruno Archtop and several other high end acoustics and these stands have been perfect for me. I have seen no evidence of the grip effecting my guitar polish on any of my guitars and I treat my guitars like children. I've used these stands for several years and I plan to buy more, I still need one for the basement and family room. Great product.....Great Price.

John Pearse 610LM Acoustic Guitar Phosphor Bronze Silks Lt/Med 12-53

Had been using the OEM recommended D'addario EXP16 strings on my Wechter TO-8442 12-fret Triple-0 guitar but was uncomfortable with their squeeky feel and angular, crystalline sound. These 610LM's eliminated both issues, and provided better balance to boot! With these strings on, I sincerely believe my guitar sounds as good as any small-body Martin in the shop. they play more easily than the EXP16s, and feel somehow easier on the fingertips of both hands. Thanks John Pearse!

I'm using this for now a month and my instrument is a verry expensive custom made professionnal classical guitar with a french polish. And I think that the hold at the neck is removing this french polish! And I am not sure that the angle of the guitar on this particular stand is good be cause the guitar is not completely horizontal on this stand... Not sure at all this is a good stand.

Oasis QuadRest Guitar Support with carry case OH-25

Great the first day or two then it started losing its suck, which then jeopardizes the well being of my guitar and that makes this a very big problem. I truly wanted this thing to work so I carefully continued to try it on different guitars and the same problem keeps recurring.
I am very disappointed. There is no purpose to a device that doesn't work, consequently one star review.
  • Abel Armrest Original - Armauflage - for classical or acoustic guitar

Abel Armrest Original - Armauflage - for classical or acoustic guitar

    By: Mel Hallam
I am full time classical guitar teacher in Las Vegas, NV. I therefore sit with the guitar six days a week often for hours at a stretch and anything that will make this easier, I am willing to try. The reviews about the Armauflage looked promising so I ordered one. I have to be honest, when it came, I thought, "$70 for this?" then I put it on - which was simple (Try the tall spacers for a classical) - and my attitude changed to a wide grin! You are paying for a brilliant design here (only a few points of soft rubber touch your guitar it is amazing. I have been using it for weeks on my Oribe without a sign of a mark from it). It makes playing the classical guitar really comfortable for the right arm. No more edge of the guitar pushing into your arm and no more bare arms sticking to the guitar either as it has a textured finish which eliminates this. All the other reviews are right: the support and the angle really do enhance the playing position of the right arm and hand. I can honestly say that this device is now as necessary to me as my foot stool. Teaching and playing without it now are out of the question!

The elevation design is great - I use this to get great flamenco position without crossing my leg and hurting my lower back. the suction cup is, ultimately, unreliable. It feels secure at one moment, and then falls off mid song. I use a piece of golpeador on the underside of my guitar, and make sure to wash the suction cup, but it's still inconsistent. I will continue using it to practice, but this is not performance ready at all.
  • D'Addario EJ25B Flamenco Guitar Strings with Black Trebles, Full Set

D'Addario EJ25B Flamenco Guitar Strings with Black Trebles, Full Set

    By: Oksana Osborne
I just finished putting these strings on my guitar, and I can't get them off fast enough. They are too bright for my taste, with not as much depth as other strings I've tried. I have a Cordoba flamenco guitar with a very full sound, and these strings dampen the power that I know is in my instrument. Not being a very experienced player, maybe it's my mistake for thinking that flamenco strings would provide a full, complex sound. I would say that this set makes my guitar sound more like a steel-string, rather than a nylon-string.
  • Galli Genius Carbonio Classical Guitar Strings, Treble Set

Galli Genius Carbonio Classical Guitar Strings, Treble Set

    By: Chang Ho Choe
I like this set of carbon strings. They are relatively soft and mellow, thus a good choice for beautiful melodies. They are not too thick or too thin, and not too rigid and sharp like Savarez Alliance trebles, which feel almost like fishing string to me. However, these Carbonio strings do not produce as powerful sounds as other standard good quality trebles, so may not be a choice for a concert artist. One not so small defect is that the trebles start to 'peel off' into very fine fluffs after maybe a month's use, by when the fluffs kind of 'hold' the vibrations and they get unusable.
  • Murata GR-2, Guitar Rest Support with adjustable feet, Silver

Murata GR-2, Guitar Rest Support with adjustable feet, Silver

    By: James Schaller
I have played classical guitar for over 40 years and had developed serious back pain after prolonged use of a footstool - even on the lowest adjustment. I tried all the types of support. Suction cups left marks on my guitar's finish. Cushions work OK, but I could not get the proper height and still had to use the foot stool.

The Murata GR-2 gives me the first experience of stres-free playing ever! I can sit with spine straight, both feet on the floor and shoulders even. I can even lean back on the back support of the chair. My playing time is much longer with less fatigue. I did need to order the 5 inch extended stem to get the proper height. Great product.
  • Neck Up Duralar Guitar Support Suction Cup Protector, 2-Pack

Neck Up Duralar Guitar Support Suction Cup Protector, 2-Pack

    By: Alexander Milovanov
I've tried suction cup protectors made by all other manufacturers on my previous guitars and there was nothing like this particular product! It was not a pleasant experience to remove suction cup protectors made by all other manufacturers, since they all left a lot of sticky residue on my instruments, which was a big pain to get rid of afterwards. However, this one I've attached to my brand new French polished guitar with, I suppose, not even a completely cured finish by then. After 3 months when I've decided to remove these, it was a very easy thing to do and they did not leave any residue on my guitar at all. I was really amazed how well it worked for me.

  • D'Addario EJ46TT Dynacore HT Classical Guitar Strings, Full Set

D'Addario EJ46TT Dynacore HT Classical Guitar Strings, Full Set

    By: Matthew Van Dongen
These strings are most definitely NOT the EJ46C basses with titanium trebles; these basses seems to be like D'addario's version of a Savarez corum-style bass string. The strings are perfectly round, and intonate perfectly up and down the neck. The basses aren't as stiff as the EJ46C basses, nor even as stiff as the EJ46 set. The titanium trebles significantly enhance the projection of the treble strings, and create a more even response along the entire guitar, somewhat a similar to the sonic balance of a savarez matched set. The titanium trebles feature a bit a more elasticity than their corresponding nylon counterpoints; for this reason, as well as the lack of d'addario's trademark stiffness in the bass strings, I use the hard tension set, where I previously used normal tension nylon and carbon string sets. The result is louder than an EJ45 set; a bit quieter than an EJ46 set, but not nearly as strenuous for the left hand; and similar volume to a savarez normal tension alliance set, but with a fuller, thicker sound. You get the same diameters, and the tension applied to your guitar is the same as any corresponding EXP or Composite series set, but with a brighter, and more balanced character. The longevity of the strings is phenomenal; once the strings are on for two weeks or so, the sound still contains a bright character, and the squeak is nearly non-existent. These strings represent a true innovation in contemporary guitar sound, due to the proprietary bass strings made to balance with their existing titanium trebles.

Great Trebles! brighter than EJ-46 trebles and with more tonal variety - at the same time they are less strident. great musical voice and projection. They do take time to settle into their sound, at first they sound a little too round and stiff, give it 1-2 weeks. I'm still looking for the right bass string to go with them on my guitar.
  • Oasis QuadRest Guitar Support with carry case OH-25

Oasis QuadRest Guitar Support with carry case OH-25

I bought one of these before Oasis picked up the line--the only difference between the Oasis support and the one I bought is mine does not have Oasis on it. That said, this support took every weakness of the Gitano and improved on those weaknesses. The cup has a spring and lever and after you apply the cup to the guitar you slide the lever and the cup is pulled to the base resulting in a tight seal with no movement. Slide back the lever and lift the tab on the cup and it comes off with no hassles. The cup with lever is a brillant idea. The sling has anti-slip dots. This puppy works! As for the cup, same rules apply to french polish as do all suction cups. I actually have a thin layer of golpeador material on the rib of my french polish guitar so I do not worry about rings or the cup gripping. Ben from SBM told me he came up with the idea for the bag--nice touch!

The Guitar of Andres Segovia, Hermann Hauser 1937 by Richard E. Brune

There are some very nice things in this package: a nice CD, a pretty poster, some interesting technical drawings, some comments by Bruné. BUT there is no diagram of the bracing, or any measurements of the top thickness - the most important set of information for a luthier. Not that I will be returning it - I guess I should have read the description of this item more carefully

  • Felipe Conde Concert 650 Light Classical Guitar Strings, Full Set

Felipe Conde Concert 650 Light Classical Guitar Strings, Full Set

    By: Nancy Norwood
I really like these strings a lot. I've just put them on and never tried the brand before, although I have tried many, many others. They have an excellent "clean" sound. When I sing and play, I notice that my voice is not drowned out by the guitar, but instead is gently complemented. The feel of the strings is superior. It seems your fingertips just glide along with no effort. The tone is balanced and pure sounding. I feel I don't have to try so hard to get the sound I'm looking for. It's just there. I'm very happy with these strings!

Abel Armrest Original - Armauflage - for classical or acoustic guitar

How many violins do you see without a chin rest affixed? That's how many acoustic guitars you should see without an Andreas Abel style arm rest affixed. These are that equally as wonderful an addition, as a players aid! I have purchased three, so far. I am a fifty year guitar player. Arm, take thine ease.

D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 12-String Acoustic Guitar EJ41 Ex Lgt 9-45

    By: Hayes Masucci
Being a huge 12 string fan, I'm always looking for string sets that are the perfect fit for me, and because 12 string sets are pretty limited, it can get hard. I put this extra light set on a Guild mahogany top and I love them. It's not just that they are easier on the fingers - I think they bring out even more of a "12 string tone" than the normal 10-47 sets. The lighter gauge boosts the trebles even more, and I'm really not hearing much of a volume loss. This is on a 100% mahogany guitar, so that does come into play tone-wise, but try them out. If you're going to keep a 12 string in standard tuning, these are definitely worth a try.
