Martin Vega Banjo Strings
It was back in 1881 that the Vega Company started operations as a musical instrument manufacturer in Boston, becoming known for its high-quality banjos less than a decade later. While it later produced guitars, mandolins, even brass instruments, the banjo was its biggest claim to fame. The company was purchased by Martin in the 1970s.In 1989 Martin sold to the Deering Banjo Company, which still produces Vega banjos to this day. While Martin no longer manufactures the Vega banjos, it still produces a line of Vega Banjo Strings. Perfect for all those of you who want to play like Pete Seeger or the Avett Brothers. None of whom ever drove a Chevy Vega, as far as we know.
