Lute Strings

Lute Strings

According to archaeological evidence, the lute dates back to at least 3100 B.C. By the Baroque era the number of courses on lutes rose as high as 19, a number that today's lutenists are doubtless relieved did not last.

We offer lute strings in full sets from La Bella and Thomastik-Infeld, and singles from La Bella and Pyramid. La Bella singles are available in rectified nylon and silver wound, and Pyramid singles are available in rectified nylon, PVC carbon, and silver wound.
