Bandolin Strings
(sorted by Name)

Although the name suggests it’s a banjo/mandolin hybrid, the bandolin is more accurately described as a cross between a guitar and a mandolin. The body shape is similar to that of a mandolin, but the instrument has a flat back and the tuning is the same as a guitar.

The bandolin hails from Ecuador, where it typically accompanies dancing. The 15 metal bandolin strings are in triple unison courses.
