Filter Guide for Mobile Users

1. Sitewide Filter

  • A sitewide filter is located under the search box.
    Tap the "String Filter" dropdown for all options.

    Let's use Classical Full Set as an example.

2. Filter More

  • Tap the orange "Filter More" button and a menu will slide out from the left.
    Many options are available including "Medium" Tension and "Pure Gold" Bass Set Material.

3. Path & Remove

  • You started with 531 sets, then down to 235 medium tension, then down to 3 options that contain Pure Gold basses. You can remove any filter option by tapping X on the label.

Filter Guide for Desktop Users

1. Sitewide Filter

  • A sitewide filter is located between our logo and search box.
    Click the "String Filter" dropdown for all options.

2. Category Page Filter

  • Alternatively, you can access the filter on each top level main page for Classical Strings, Acoustic Strings, Electric Strings or Bass Strings.
    The following example is for Classical, but the same approach applies to others, with options specific to that instrument. Strings By Mail -Classical String Filter

3. Product Type

  • Next to each option (in parenthesis) is the total number of products within that selection.
    By selecting "Full Set", the page will refresh and (as of July 2023) 531 total product options will appear to the right.

4. More Filtering

  • Yikes, 531 options whew! Now what?
    Let's use the full power of the filter.
    Choose a Tension of "Medium" (page refreshes down to 235 sets). Then choose a Bass Set Material of "Pure Gold", yielding THREE full sets currently available.

5. Backtrack & Remove

  • If a filter option you are looking for does not exist, you may need to backtrack and select a different filter option. To backtrack, either remove a selection by clicking the X on the result tab, or revert a dropdown back to "All".
