The origin of so much guitar music comes from other instruments. Lute, of course, but often piano as well. Here Felix Arndt’s ragtimey piano music is arranged for two guitars.

Arndt recorded over 3,000 piano rolls during his brief life (he died at age 29 during the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918). He was known as one of the leading and original practitioners of novelty piano music, and was a composer for special material on demand for several years, including for vaudeville. His playing ability was no novelty, however: he held a steady gig for a time as organist for New York's famed Trinity Church on Wall Street.

Here his music is arranged for two guitars by Chris Dumigan, who has written over 150 songs as well as served as musical director for theater groups and presentations. He also writes reviews for Classical Guitar magazine, teaches guitar and music theory and plays guitar at private functions. And wrote these arrangements of Arndt’s music for advanced players.
