Refik Fersan Classical Guitar Sheet Music for 3 Guitars
(sorted by Price (high))

Three guitars, 18 strings, 24 fingers – 2 thumbs - that’s a lot going on. Especially for music by someone who never even played guitar.

The composer, Refik Fersan, was born in Istanbul in 1893. His specialty was the tanbur, the almost impossibly long-necked lute. Also called the tambur, versions of it date back to before 200 BC. Fersan was a scholar of the instrument (also called tambur; start reading about the variants online and you’ll go down the rabbit hole forever), and joined the performing ensemble of the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory, where he served as head of the Scholarly Committee.

He composed nearly 400 works in his lifetime (1883-1965), many of which have, like this, been transposed or arranged for other instruments. Including the guitar (or three).
