Thomas Flippin graduated with honors from the University of Chicago and later earned his masters in music and arts from Yale of Music. He is known for his musical versatility, especially his ventures into contemporary music. Whether he is performing with his duo partner playing the classical guitar, strumming the banjo, or playing the electric guitar, Flippin is an accredited musician of current history. He is a claimed feminist for his album release that followed after his collaboration project in 2015 that addressed the lack of women in composition. He is now working and recording with Grammy nominated artists on upcoming releases and part of faculty at the Diller Quaile School of Music in Manhattan.
