Stephen Krishnan is a Grammy-nominated guitarist and educator based in Austin, Texas, where he is a member of the acclaimed Austin Guitar Quartet. His musical interests are broad. Not only does he enjoy performing solo and ensemble music for classical guitar, he often takes part in various interdisciplinary projects. One day you’ll find him performing alongside Ballet Austin, the next collaborating with the world-renowned choir Conspirare.His musical interests date back not simply to his youth but far before then. He’s studied baroque guitar and continuo with acclaimed lutenist Jason Yoshida, a professor at the University of Southern California. The USC Baroque Sinfonia, which Stephen performed in, was invited to perform a concert of Polish Baroque music at the 2016 Early Music America festival in Berkeley.
