Bandolin Strings

Bandolin Strings

Though the name suggests it’s a banjo/mandolin hybrid, the bandolin is actually more accurately described as a mandolin with a flat back and guitar tuning. The bandolin has five courses of three strings, and it’s used as a rhythm and melody instrument in the Andean region of Ecuador, particularly during festivals for dancing. And if you’re dancing, then you’ve got to have music, in this case, from the bandolin.
