GuitarViol Strings

The guitarviol is a cross between a guitar and a violin that often uses cello strings. Go figure.

According to Jonathan Wilson of TogaMan GuitarViols, the guitarviol produces the sounds of a strummed or plucked guitar and those of a bowed violin. Here's a tuning chart by Wilson for guitarviol strings:

B Tuning
B - H514 1/4M - 1/4 Cello C String
E - H513 1/4 M - 1/4 Cello G String
A - H513 4/4 M - 4/4 Cello G String
D - H512 1/4 M - 1/4 Cello D string
F# - H511 1/4 M - 1/4 Cello A string
B - H511 4/4L - 4/4 Cello A string
