Like many great composers for the guitar, Miguel Llobet (1878-1938) was a virtuoso on the instrument himself. The Spanish-born Llobet toured around the world, but especially in Europe and the United States.

A fun fact: Llobet was the first classical guitarist to make electric recordings.
