Giacomo Susani is among the likes of popular musicians Joe Jackson, Annie Lennox and Arthur Fiedler – yes, that’s the longtime conductor of the Boston Pops – as alumni of the Royal College of Music in London. No pop (or Boston Pop) hits here though, as Susani has carved out an impressive career as a classical guitarist and composer.

As a guitarist he’s won numerous awards and enjoys a busy concert schedule. Among the awards a Julian Bream Trust Scholarship, which allowed him to work in close contact with legendary guitarist Julian Bream from 2014 to 2018. His compositions likewise have been accorded numerous accolades, including a New York Respighi Prize in Composition.

The Italian guitarist and composer, born in Padova in 1995 into a musical family has been based in London since 2014, where he frequently performs. He’s also the artistic director and teacher of the Errante Guitar Course in Italy. His pieces are challenging and melodic. Try them for yourself.
