Intrecci (Omaggio a Paganini) was commissioned by the Paganini International Guitar Festival in 2024, during Giacomo Susani’s residency as a composer. It was premiered by Marco Ramelli on May 27th 2024 at the Cappella degli Artisti of the Cimitero Monumentale della Villetta in Parma, Italy.
The music is inspired by specific gestures and techniques that are idiomatic of the violin, here reinvented for the guitar.
