This section contains all the nineteen works which Giuliani composed for guitar with one other instrument usually flute or violin (or two other instruments in the case of his Serenade op. 19), here re-engraved and with scores newly provided as well as the original parts for the two instruments.

These are all excellent material for guitarists, perhaps especially guitar students, to play with other musicians who play other instruments and guitar teachers may find it useful to recommend or prescribe these Giuliani ensemble pieces to their students in this respect. They include easy works among which I mention especially the Duettino facile op. 77 of which a customer wrote “I heard this piece on QXR, our classical radio station in NYC and I loved it. Thought it was beautiful”, and eighteen short easy works in Giuliani’s XVIII Divertimenti Notturni op. 86, and there are also virtuoso works such as the splendid Variations and Polonaise op 24a of which you can hear a fine performance by Alexander Detisov (violin) and Miguel Trápaga (guitar) here...
