Giuliani | Gran Duetto Concertante op 52 for guitar and flute or violin
PDF DIGITAL DOWNLOAD
Mauro Giuliani’s Gran Duetto Concertante op. 52 for flute or violin and guitar is an extended work in three movements, well written for both instruments. It was first published in Vienna in about 1814. Thomas F. Heck has written: “This piece may have been conceived as entertainment for the delegates to the Congress of Vienna (Sept. 1814-June 1815). It caters to the military esprit of the times with the third movement, a large and vigorous Rondo Militare”.
This Gran Duetto Concertante is here presented in a new modern re-engraved edition, score and parts, ready for performance, urtext and authentic, based strictly on the original editions with no modern elements or fingering introduced.
There are three movements: Andante sostenuto, Minuet and trio, and Rondo militare allegretto.
If you purchase this item you will receive a zip file containing the score with both instruments, and a separate part for the flute or violin, newly re-engraved for this edition from the original publication.
