Giuliani | Variations, op. 84 for guitar or piano and flute or violin
PDF DIGITAL DOWNLOAD
Mauro Giuliani’s Variations for flute or violin and guitar, op. 84, were first published in Vienna in 1817. The guitar shines in variations 2, 4, and especially in variation 6 which brings the set to a brilliant ending. Thomas F. Heck suggested that this may be the work that Giuliani and his colleague the violinist Mayseder played in Vienna on 18 May 1817, and that may well be correct. These Variations are here presented in a new modern re-engraved edition, score and parts, ready for performance, urtext and authentic, based strictly on the original editions with no modern elements or fingering introduced.
You can hear [BEGIN LINK] a fine performance of this work [END LINK] [HTML, insert as link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= TmL4Xp-CPCw] in Youtube performed by Alexander Detisov (violin) and Miguel Trápaga (guitar).
If you purchase this item you will receive a zip file containing the score with both instruments, and a separate part for the flute or violin, newly re-engraved for this edition from the original publication.
