Soprano Ukulele Strings

The soprano ukulele, also known as the standard ukulele, was developed in the 1880's in Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants. It's based on several guitar-like instruments from Portugal, including the machete, cavaquinho, and timple.

We have a wide offering of soprano ukulele strings from top American, European, and Asian companies like Aquila, D'Addario, Oasis, Pepe Romero, and Worth, among others. No matter your proficiency, style, or type of music you enjoy, you're bound to find the perfect strings for your soprano uke.

For sizing, tuning and more, see our Ukulele Information page.

And while you're here, don't miss our great selection of ukulele sheet music!
