GHS Vintage Bronze 85/15 Acoustic Guitar Strings VN-L Lt 12-54

I got a new used guitar (1977 Guild F50 jumbo) that wasn't sounding as expected with the previous strings I was using.
I'm extremely pleased with these strings both tonally and the feel while playing. I mostly finger pick and sometimes strum with a pick and they work well with both styles. They have clarity, tonal balance, and project the subtle harmonic overtones. Absolutely brought the guitar to life! I'm a big fan of GHS strings and use them on all my guitars. These are wonderful and I'd highly recommend trying them out if you like a warm rich sound and still have clarity when fingerpicking or playing individual notes.

I built a guitar that has a deep sound already, and I realized that my normal go-to phosphor bronze set on it meant that it was lacking focus. I tried these on the recommendation of another luthier, and they brought this guitar to exactly where it needed to be in terms of focus and clarity.

These were a pleasant (and affordable) surprise on my Pre*War 000! Very warm tone, so far. Only have had them on for a little over a week, so we'll see how long they'll last. So far, I'm very happy!

I am looking for a way to slightly tame a bbright guitar. GHS still offers their 85/15 mix strings. Other companies do not. So far, I am pleased with the sound of these strings. I will buy them again.
