Following the release of IDIS 6649, documenting the beginnings of the Duo formed by Ida Presti (1924-1967) and Alexandre Lagoya (1929-1999), with the present CD we now come to the apex of their success, in the concert as well as the recording studio. The arrangements for two guitars included in this CD reach levels of complexity never before deemed possible. We have the rigorous formal articulation of Bach's music composed for the keyboard but beautifully rendered on the grand twelve-string guitar.
