Description: German Vasquez Rubio is one of the finest luthiers ever to hail from Mexico, bringing together an exceptional work ethic, elite-level skills, and exquisite taste to become a world-class maker, as evidenced here by this 2015 instrument. German’s guitars are known for their ease of playability and this Solista is no exception. It has a wonderful, low action, very comfortable neck shape, and is sensitive to the most subtle dynamic and timbral nuances. Players can easily produce any level of volume and wide-ranging sound colors with this guitar. The Solista model has a slightly more modern sound character than his Hauser-inspired instruments, resulting in a fuller, stronger sound for the concert stage. Internally, it has seven struts and an additional diagonal cross brace to increase top stiffness. This professionally owned instrument had some mild playing wear but has recently been repolished by luthier Nikola Korovljev, resulting a perfectly smooth top. The frets have been crowned and polished to achieve the best possible action as well. There are no cracks or repairs on this instrument, it is perfect playing condition ready for the concert stage.
