About TrainYourEars EQ Edition
TrainYourEars EQ Edition is an ear training software for PC and Mac designed to help sound engineers understand equalizers and frequencies.
TrainYourEars was founded in 2012 and has been featured in MusicTech Magazine, Recording Magazine, Pro Tools Expert and Gearslutz, among many other publications and websites. At the beginning of 2016, the company launched TrainYourEars version 2 and sold more than 4000 licenses until now. The software is available in 8 languages.
How does it work?
TrainYourEars aims to speed up your learning process exposing you to hundreds of random equalizations you have to guess. If you are wrong, it will let you know “how wrong”, and it will let you hear both your guess and the correct answer.
In no time you will develop a frequency memory which will allow you to connect the sound you imagine in your head. Use this newfound awareness to dial in the parameters you need, quickly and more easily than ever.
What is new in TrainYourEars 2.0?
Instead of guessing, you have to make corrections while you hear the result. The person who suggested this method in the first place was Bob Katz, a renowned mastering guru.
Besides it has a new, modern and clean interface, a new assisted training screen, a new exercise designer, it supports other languages, and many other features.
TrainYourEars has been designed to be a powerful and limitless tool, way better than any cassette or CD, because you can feed it with any music or sound and configure the exercises to a level of diversity and detail which wasn’t imaginable before.
