Dogal B121A Flexibass Chrome Double Bass Strings, 3/4

I am a professional bassist, playing many styles. The Blue Tag 3/4 strings are lighter gauge than the Red Tag 4/4 version, and are about an inch shorter in playing length. They are the same otherwise. If your bass likes light strings, use the Blue. If it likes medium strings use the Red.
Bright strings that bow well is how I describe these. These sound good for pizz, and arco; they are bright compared to most orchestra strings, but useable.
These are solid core steel strings. They take a while to break in. Once they do they are both bright on top and warm on the bottom, offering a loud clear fundamental and clarity in all ranges. I find these to go between styles and jobs as well as any string.
The solid core seems to make the strings a little stiffer and faster than more flexible synthetic and other rope/twisted core strings. It also makes for a simpler tone and- on some instruments- a smaller range of expression. however, they are clear as a bell and record/amplify very well.
