Very nice sound, very crispy for flamenco, but these strings are like wires to my fingers. I tried to get used of them but finally i gave up. I felt pain and i couldnt get a decent picado.

A really nice string. Great tone and projection, though a bit too smooth and glossy a feel for my tastes. Still, I really like their round, full tone and responsiveness, and I may try to "get used to" that ultra smooth feel. A note here about the listed tensions: these are listed as hard tension, but in reality they are medium or medium/hi tension when compared to most high tension strings. I've used both the hard and extra hard which feel more like high tension to me, but I like the tone of the T46 set better. Also, D'Addario's diameter measurements differ from those supplied by SBM, and the SBM measures ARE the correct ones. Definitely worth a try, especially at this price point.

Very soft feel. The 13's do work better in DADGAD with the added tension. Beautiful, lush sound with longer sustain due to the round cores.

These treble strings are great. I have mixed them with the La Bella Argento bass set and I have finally found my perfect set up. These treble strings do increase projection, but what's more, they increase clarity especially in the third string (I am not overly concerned with projection). I would recommend these strings for all rosewood types of guitars, but if you play maple or other "different" types of classical guitars, you may still want to experiment. I am a huge fan of the Mexican rosewood guitars (Camatillo, Palo Escrito, Cocobolo)and these sound great for those, and I assume they would sound great on Indian as well due to the mellower, more dense sonic atributes you get from Indian. They sound great on Rodriguez or Reyes body styles (because of the larger body sizes, these strings do increase clarity). A great counterpart to the Argento basses - rich basses with very string fundamental attributes mixed with very clear trebles.

These have a WOUND G(3) string, not a nylon one. I don't know who thinks that's a good idea for a child-size guitar. Also, the tension is pretty low, which caused fret buzz on my low-action Strunal 1/4-size guitar.

I recommend D'Addario hard strings instead of these.

I just put them on today, beautiful strings, nicest trebles of any strings so far, good vibrato, brilliant tone, ant the feel is just superb. Basses feel pretty warm on the first day, we'll see how they develop. Hope they last, considering high prize.

Great strings with a very smooth feel, they are a bit brighter than the EJ45C trebles however on my flamenco blanca and negra they sound fantastic and project a very good consist tone. I have found that they are a bit more sensitive to temp changes than the EJ45C set and can come out of tune if your near a heater duct or lights that get hot. I think they feel very smooth on the fingers and like the feel.

Fantastic strings! They are powerful, brilliant and clear. If you want to add some life to your guitar - try these. I have them on a Conde negra and an Eric Monrad spruce/brazilian. Both instruments were improved over any other type of string I had tried. They give you rasp when you need it, but also have a rich sound for solos. They also last a very long time and have a great overall timbre. I prefer the black trebles over the clear personally. Highly recommended.

Over the years I've pretty much stuck to D'addario and Savarez strings. Tried the new Savarez Cantiga as well as all the different varieties of D'addario from Titanium to Rectified. From the first moment I tried the Aranjuez, I was in love. And still, two weeks later I can't believe how much better they are than any string I've ever tried. These strings put out a completely different sound on both the trebles and the basses. They may sound different on your guitar than on mine, but I highly recommend you give them a try.

These strings sound really tinny and cheap. Also the red nylon may look good from a far, but they are more difficult to play at night, 'cause you can't seem em.

These strings are very high quality-no doubt there. However, they underscore the importance of choosing strings that work with the wood combination of a particular guitar. Many friends have had great success with Newtones with cedar, engleman or euro spruce tops. With my adirondack top they sounded cold.

Very responsive strings. Great attack, very nice trebles. I have put a set a month ago and still are working great to my blanca. I wish Strings by Mail could sell these separately because the trebles are last for too long.

Because of the price and the 5 star review, my expectations were pretty high, but I was disappointed at 3 points. First, nothing is said in the ad about the tension, but these are definitely high tension strings....so if your guitar (like mine, an older 660 scale) does not respond well to high tension strings, avoid these. So, probably for this reason, I was disappointed by the feel and responsiveness. Second, the advertisement says that Royal Classic strings are pre-stretched, which led me to expect a quick settle-in. Not so! If anything, these were worse than normal. The A string in particular continued to stretch an abnormally large amount for a week or more, which I found pretty annoying. Third, the low E string was a big disappointment. All the other strings are way to the bright end of the scale, but the low E was way to the warm end. It was a real contrast compared to the others. It's almost like someone snuck it in as a joke. I didn't laugh however. On the good side, though, the strings (apart from the low E) are well balanced and very bright but not harshly so...but in my humble opinion these are not $18 strings.
  • Martin MA130FX Flexible Core Silk & Phosphor Acoustic Guitar Cstm 11-47

Martin MA130FX Flexible Core Silk & Phosphor Acoustic Guitar Cstm 11-47

    By: Giacomo Corrado
Martin FX Silk and Phosphor Strings are true to the manufacturer’s description: (i) a sweet and melodic (ii) with remarkable playability at any fret position (iii) increased durability (iv) stay in tune and play longer (v) reduces finger fatigue and (vi) permits quicker transitions from string to string.
In my case, the transition is from Nylon to Steel and I am exceedingly pleased with how comfortably these strings allow me to shift from classical/flamenco guitar to finger-picking on my new Huss & Dalton

Perhaps the most unique treble out there. They are similar to rectified nylons, but with superior tone. They have great projection and a beautiful timbre...warm and yet punchy. They are capable of a wide range of colors. With a slightly rough finish, they feel great on the left hand...easy to grab hold of. On the negative side, this same slightly rough feel creates a bit of string noise. On the right hand, the nails coming across them have a tendency to create a bit of sibilance. With old hands like mine, they can slow down fast arpeggios too because of the finish. Still, I just love their tone. They pair great with Savarez Corum basses.
  • Hannabach Carbon Trebles MHT Classical Guitar Strings, Treble Set

Hannabach Carbon Trebles MHT Classical Guitar Strings, Treble Set

    By: Steven Davino
The best carbon I've ever used. They have all the benefits of carbon...projection, fast attack, and subtle tonal variants...but none of the bright harshness common to many carbons. Much warmer tone than most. Long lasting and great intonation too.
  • Savarez Corum 500J HT Classical Guitar Strings, Bass Set

Savarez Corum 500J HT Classical Guitar Strings, Bass Set

    By: Steven Davino
I've used Corum bass strings for many years now. They have the best of everything. They are deep and rich in tone with plenty of volume. Beautiful overtones with an almost cello-like timbre in the upper registers. They are supple, flexible, and easy to play on. They are a true high tension string, but don't feel like it. To me, they have it all. For a punchier string with a stronger fundamental, try the Savarez Cantiga bass set.

As advertised these strings are rich and warm. Much like Dean Markley Goldphos these strings will modify the sound of your guitar. If you're looking for a sweeter, softer warmer sound give these strings a go. If like myself you want to capture the natural sound of your guitar there are other choices.
