Graphite Gray is a great description, they look like strings made of mechanical pencil lead and they have a matte finish feel. Tuning settles in very quickly after stringing these strings right out of the package. Great balance between the brightness of a fluorocarbon string and the warmer tone of a Nylgut string. -
