Brightens up sound, sounds like a full size guitar. Now that guitar has opened up, I really do love the way it sounds with Elixirs.

I play backup and lead bluegrass. With all my dreadnought guitars my ears prefer a bit more brightness than is the norm for regular phosphor bronze mediums. These GHS Bright Bronze strings still provide plenty of that deep warm Martin sound, but with enough brightness for my solo work to really stand out.

Graphite Gray is a great description, they look like strings made of mechanical pencil lead and they have a matte finish feel. Tuning settles in very quickly after stringing these strings right out of the package. Great balance between the brightness of a fluorocarbon string and the warmer tone of a Nylgut string.
