I primarily use this guitar to record and this set of strings bring out a clarity and purity of tone that I love. The control I get in the release of the string is fantastic and the way that this set is made brings out the supportive overtones which I love in my recordings.

I prefer the Hard Tension Rectified Set for these guitars as stage instruments. This set of strings gives me the most robust bass response and crisp penetrating trebles that carry in a concert hall. I feel that I can get the most tonal color out of these guitars with the Rectified Set Hard Tension.

The strings are very comfortable to play. Despite the pleasant tension they have the powerful sound of high tension strings. The sound can easily be formulated. The harmonics are very clear and the colors are unique!

I like them because of their eveness, and I like strings to give a bit under my fingers.

Imperial Blues are great as they are warmer in tone but still very clear, this works great with my guitar because the instrument is naturally very loud and colorful, the strings offset any extreme colors I might accidentally produce, but still compliment the instrument's volume and color palate.

I play D'Addario because they feel the best for my nails and I love their expressiveness and vibrato.

Paragon Red normal tension works the best with my guitar. I usually play high, but for some reason the normal tension seems to sound better on my guitar. It matches the really dark tone of my guitar with my nails which are a bit on the bright side. It brings out a round tone but at the same time not muddy. Also very directional. I used to combine nylon 1st string with 2nd and 3rd carbon, but since Paragon, that's not the case anymore. The first string stays exactly in bewteen direction of carbon and stability of nylon.

This combination provides a strong presence for the trebles while enhancing the sustain of the basses.
