These strings have a wonderful warm sound in the trebles, as well as the bases. ?The trebles are remarkably smooth to the touch with an elegant feel. The sound is consistent and in tue across the full range of the guitar. I?ve played on many strings over the years and these are simply the best I?ve ever played on!

I've been using Augustine strings for at least 10 years now, and have made four full length recordings using Regal Blues. Additionally, I've currently been experimenting with the new Paragon carbons with my 2016 Greg Smallman, and they seem like a great match! I'll likely record a solo record with this combination next summer.

Since it is a 660-scale cedar guitar, I go with the medium-tension basses, which sing and sustain beautifully. They also provide a better balance with the trebles. The Regal trebles work very well on my Ruck, since they project strongly while still retaining the singing "Spanish" sound of the instrument.

Goal was a string with neutral to warm character to compliment sonics of a powerful spruce top, but with ability to shape tonal color and project against a flute or recorder.

It gives the necessary tension to the instrument (carbon 2nd and 3rd) providing greater sustain, sound strength and adjustment in the tuning. The 1st nylon string (high tension) offers a sweeter sound to the 'chanterelle', providing a more flexible 'sing'.

I like the consistency the D'Addario Pro Arte, they tune well and sound good every time. The hard tension gives a little bit more projection and still feels easy to play.

Simply the best all-around string on the market. It's very playable, balanced, durable, loud, sets in fast, and very consistent: zero bum set over the years. The tone is in between the lyrical nylon and the bold carbon, it's really versatile. Beats string sets that cost twice the price easily.
