I studied technique and performance at various conservatoriums and used these strings constantly. They are strong, neutral, transparent and enable a lot of timbrel tone colour using free or rest stroke and a lot of variation between ponticelli and dolce. Perfect intonation and consistency.

These strings have a wonderful warm sound in the trebles, as well as the bases. ?The trebles are remarkably smooth to the touch with an elegant feel. The sound is consistent and in tue across the full range of the guitar. I?ve played on many strings over the years and these are simply the best I?ve ever played on!

I've been using Augustine strings for at least 10 years now, and have made four full length recordings using Regal Blues. Additionally, I've currently been experimenting with the new Paragon carbons with my 2016 Greg Smallman, and they seem like a great match! I'll likely record a solo record with this combination next summer.
