The strings are neutral in there tonality and allow the color of the guitar to present itself.

I use Augustine Regal Blue because it offers me a combination of clarity, warmth, projection, and the freedom to continuously cultivate and reimagine my personal and unique voice on the guitar.

I've been using Augustine strings for at least 10 years now, and have made four full length recordings using Regal Blues. Additionally, I've currently been experimenting with the new Paragon carbons with my 2016 Greg Smallman, and they seem like a great match! I'll likely record a solo record with this combination next summer.

Augustine Regals are the only string that responds to my fingers needs. They have remarkable sustain, highlighting and expanding the entire tonal and dynamic palette of the guitar.

Best combo for a loud, naturally dark-sounding cedar top. Warmth, clarity.

These strings settle in quickly and provide well-balanced definition across the strings. They are bright and have a pleasing metal to wood ratio of sound. I play intensely often for many hours and the strings keep performing well. At the end of their lustrous life they begin to take on a wire-like sound and then need changing.

(non stock bone saddle) These strings have a wonderful feel and tone and last a long time. SIT is a smaller company producing high quality strings and I like doing business with the smaller companies. I also use these on a Taylor 818, a GA5 and a GC6.
