The 4Z-US is a conservatory collection guitar that celebrates Alhambra's 50th anniversary (1965-2015). The back and sides are Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra), a beautiful wood with a sound best described as deep and very Spanish. Although each guitar is unique, this wood makes the differences between 4Z-US classical guitars more apparent.
This instrument is designed with a narrower Mahogany ergoneck which is more comfortable to play. The neck characteristics and string action have been described by guitarists as more similar to the professional level, but very tight. The distance between strings and frets is carefully planned to create a guitar that's very comfortable, without being soft.
The saddle and nut are made of melamine, a material that transmits a lot of sound and offers a defined and a very balanced sound. The fingerboard is made of Indian Rosewood, producing a very hard wood in elegant shades of brown.
Every Alhambra guitar is registered with a digital system, providing a unique serial number that certifies its origin, ensuring authenticity and traceability.
