Jazz and classical trained guitarist, Samuel Bonnet has taken part to numerous and varied musical projects : from reggae to pop, going through jazz or soul.
But it's while coming back to classical guitar studies that he re-discovered an ideal instrument to transpose his creative universe, authentic synthesis of all his musical influences : acoustic music, classical composition, jazz harmony, afro-american rythms and folk melodies.
In his first album, "Tambora" , Samuel Bonnet delivers 6 original compositions, one of which is for clarinet & guitar, a transcription of "Achat Shaalti" (by Paul Schoenfield) with Simon Proulx on mandolin, and 5 famous classical guitar standards (by Bach, De Falla, Dyens, Villa-Lobos & Brouwer ), with the invitation to travel and the shared pleasure as only guiding principles!
Recorded between February 2011 and April 2012.
