D'Addario Chromes ECB81-5SL Flatwound 5 String, Regular Light (45-132)

The B and E strings sound poor in tone, volume and sustain. The A,D,and G strings sound good. They have an interesting tone. It sounds very metallic; "Full Set Material: Stainless Steel"
Apparently these strings are made of stainless steel according to the description. It has a pretty cool metallic sound, similar to titanium. It seems to work well for the higher sound registers, but doesn't hold up for the lower notes.

I wish i had more time to try them, but I only played them for half an hour because I put them on a bass right before I sold it.

With that being said, my 3 month old Ernie ball strings sounded better than these brand new D'Addario's.

I like the concept/direction, but these strings need more improvements.
