D'Addario EXP 38 strings are never in stock at any local music stores near me and always must be ordered. Doing an internet search to find the best price I came across Strings By Mail. Their price beat everybody by a minimum, of $8/set. I ordered a few sets as these are my preferred strings for my Breedlove 12 string guitar. They feel good on the fingers, last a very long time before needing to be changed (a bonus with a 12 string!), and are warmer than other brands but still have the right "jangle" which is pleasing to not only my ears, but to other 12 string guitar owners as well judging from the compliments received on the sound of my guitar. I ordered these along with a few sets of strings for other guitars and shipping was fast with no mistakes in the package, and two notes with actual wet ink signatures from the president of the company and the young lady who packaged my order up, as well as a "case candy" sticker. A really nice touch!

On my 6 string I prefer elixirs as they are a bit brighter but on a 12 string the warmer Daddarios really work well. The NY steel is very stable so there is no need for much tuning. A big plus on a 12 string.
