Smooth and comfortable for technical playing
Review by Connor L. on 14 Jul 2023 review stating Smooth and comfortable for technical playing Love these for my technical progressive metal / rock project. Their only downside is that the coating gets "shredded off a little" in the picking area after a while, so they get kinda fuzzy and I'm sure it slightly affects the tone. But if you care that much about tone during a recording, you'll buy multiple sets of these to swap out before that happens. That's what I'm doing. Using these for a month then going back to an uncoated set of D'addarios felt like pain and torture, to play the same songs. I switched then back out after only 2 days to these Elixir Nanowebs and plan on finishing my 70-minute progressive metal record with these. (called Sun Keeper, featuring drumming by Blake Richardson from Between the Buried and Me, due to release early 2024)
