Ernie Ball 2811 Power Slinky Flatwound Electric Bass Strings 55-110

I've been using LaBella black tapewound flats on all my basses for a number of years, and I absolutley love the feel of them. On my '57 Tele Bass reissue, I haven't been able to get the Mids where I want them, plus being single-coil I was hoping that the Cobalt would improve the signal/noise ration.
The tone on these is exactly what I'm looking for, and NOTABLY more pronounced than the LaBella.
Signal/Noise not really improved, but strings are slightly higher output - I guess any particular volume setting generates the same amount of noise, a feature of the bass not the strings.
While I prefer the ultra smooth feel of tapewound flats, the tone for my purposes outweighs the different tactile feel.

Mids cut through much better, slap/pop sounds much better on these than my prior set.
